Our goal is capturing the pure beauty and innocence of your newborn in their first days. Their delicate skin, fuzzy newborn hair, tiny hands and toes and heavenly face. I love using warm, neutral tones and soft colors to create a natural, beautiful look. We will be discussing all details during our pre-session phone meeting.
Newborn Session Types
Studio – Baby alone sessions
Newborn studio sessions are done within first 2 weeks after baby is born, ideally between first 4-12 days of life. An average studio session takes about 3 hours. If you have specific preferences for colours, props or style, we can talk about this during our pre-session phone meeting. A few different posing setting is prepared for your baby before you arrive. You have access to a variety of different props, wraps and headbands for your baby, so you do not need to bring any clothing or accessories for the photo shoot. If you have special items you would like to include in the pictures, feel free to bring them with you.
Our pet and smoke free studio is heated and equipped for maximum comfort of the baby and parents. Just relax and have your coffee and snacks when your precious little baby is posing for lifelong remembered images.
Studio – Baby with family
These sessions are designed for ones who would like some family poses added to the newborn package. This session type takes about 3-3.5 hrs with the last 30-40 min spent for mom-dad-baby poses, sibling poses or whole immediate family poses depending on client’s preferences.
On-location Lifestyle sessions
For lifestyle sessions, we come to your place to capture the magical moments in your everyday life with the new addition to your family. Your baby doesn’t have to be certain days old. We capture the baby in his/her own environment, under natural light. In own home, own clothing during everyday activities, such as feeding, sleeping, bathing, in parents’ arms or on siblings’ laps…

Additional Images
Additional digital images that are not included in your package are $35/each. You can order them online from your private gallery.
By purchasing digital images, you receive a print release which grants you the right to print them at any lab you choose as well as sharing them online.

Newborn Q&A
When should I book my baby's newborn photos?
It is best to book your session when you are in your second trimester. At the time of booking, we schedule it tentatively based on your due date and once your baby arrives we will reschedule your newborn’s session, targeting between 4th and 12th day from birth.
If your baby is already born, please contact me ASAP. I welcome all babies into my studio regardless of their age.
What is pre-session phone meeting about?
We have a pre-session phone meeting with all of our clients to communicate the session type (indoor/outdoor), the location, the theme, style, props, preferred colors and clothing.
Do I only get 5 images from hello baby session?
You can purchase as many photos as you want. 5 images come free with your session fee. For price of additional images, you can check Additional Images section above.
Why do newborn sessions take so long?
Newborn sessions take about 3 hours. This includes feeding time, diaper changing, soothing the baby. The purspose here is to have a happy and sleepy baby so that we can get adorable shots.
Do you always take newborn photos when they are sleeping?
No, it doesn’t have to be that way. Since newborns need a lot of sleep, their happiest and the most content state is when they are sleeping. If the baby is not sleeping, but not fussing either, we can get amazing shots with wide open eyes too.
How to prepare for our newborn session?
Make sure to feed your baby before our session. Babies sleep best when their belly is full. As most newborns need to feed frequently, we will be taking nursing breaks during the photo session too. Most newborns have a dry skin. Applying some baby lotion before coming to your photo session is advised.
What to bring to the newborn session?
Bring lots of diapers. It is advised not to introduce soother to your newborn at least until the photo session. If your baby is already using soother, please bring it with you. If your baby is not nursing, bring lots of formula milk. Newborns can go on a growth spurt any time.
What to expect after our session?
Within a week following your session, you receive a gallery of soft edited images. Then you choose your images that is included in your session and order the ones you would like to have additionally. Within a week from your selection, you receive your fully edited high resolution digital images in an online gallery where you can download for yourself and share with your loved ones.
Do you do newborn sessions outdoors too?
Yes, during summer months, when temperatures are above 25 degree celcius, we love to do outdoor sessions with your little ones. We usually meet you at a park with some baskets and wraps and an umbrella. Timewise, we prefer to book late afternoon/early evening hours for more gentle sun light for baby’s skin.
