Our kids are the most valuable things that we ever have. Time flies and before we know it they grow out of their baby clothes, cute kiddy styles and start to behave like a grown up. Before this happens, you want to make sure their innocent, silly-cute, curious, and adorable states are recorded in the form of beautiful candid images.
Kids photography sessions are only for the children from all ages from toddlers to teens. Kids are funny, curious and so imaginative. I like to show their personality, innocence and their playfulness in my images. Be it a creative still pose in the studio or an action shot outdoors, the focus is genuine and beautiful portraiture of your children.
As a mom of two, I pride myself on connecting quickly and easily with my littlest clients. I reassure my clients that no matter what their child’s mood or temperament, they will have beautiful memories of their family from our time together.

Kids Sessions
Kids photography sessions are designed for the children of all ages from toddlers to teens. Sessions are average 45 minutes long. We have in-studio and outdoor options for your little ones. If it is a studio session, your backdrops and props are custom designed for you before you arrive for your photo shoot. If it is an outdoor session, you can choose one of the beautiful Calgary parks for your photo shoot and we meet there with or without props. We will be discussing all details during our pre-session phone meeting. We love creative settings. If you have a fun idea for your kids photo shoot, you can communicate it to the photographer during the pre-session phone meeting and it can be arranged.
School Portraits
If you would like to get your own school pictures for your child and be involved during the photo shoot, this session is for you. It is a 15 min session that yields lots of different poses to choose from.
We have on-locaion student portraits offerings for preschools each year in September. Please contact us for details.

Picture Day At Akidemy Preschool
Today, I would like to share with you my photo day experience at Akidemy Preschool in Calgary and a few tips and tricks about how I photograph little kids and how I retouch those photos.
Baloon Voyage
I always found hot air balloons fascinating. The big deep baskets that Home Sense sells just gave me a great idea and I decided to make a hot air balloon photo prop. I sew sand bags from canvas and filled them with styrofoam beans and attach them to the basket.
A Day In The Fall

How to dress the kids for the session?
You can dress your child(ren) any style you want. It can be casual or fancy, or a special theme. We will ask you, what style of clothing your children will be in for the session during our pre-session phone meeting so we can match it with the props and mood of posing.
what is pre-session phone meeting about?
We have a pre-session phone meeting with all of our clients to communicate the session type (indoor/outdoor), the location, the theme, style, props, preferred colors and clothing.
Can we bring our pet to the kids session?
Yes, if your pet is easy to control and wouldn’t distract kids from the photo shoot. We actually love to include your pets in kids photos as it creates a natural and candid scenes for us to photograph.
What to expect after our session?
Within a week following your session, you receive a gallery of soft edited images. Then you choose your images that is included in your session and order the ones you would like to have additionally. Within a week from your selection, you receive your fully edited high resolution digital images in an online gallery where you can download for yourself and share with your loved ones.
